On 13th June, 2019, a parents’ meet was conducted by Don Bosco Tech – Janbazpora (Jammu & Kashmir). The meeting was organized in effect to the attendance shortage observed after Eid. All four functioning domains saw the leniency on part of the candidates with respect to the training and attendance. Due to this, all candidates were asked to make the presence of their parents’ mandatory, which in turn would qualify for the seriousness of the candidate. A good response was seen, as 62 parents attended the meet. Following are the outcomes:

• Parents showed keen concern, as many candidates would leave home for the center, but not attend the classes.
• Parents will be responsible for the regular attendance and punctuality of their respective wards.
• Henceforth, only parents’ call would be considered for leave or early departure of the candidates.
• If any candidate shows untoward behavior towards trainers or other trainees, parents will be accountable and, therefore, summoned.
• Phone numbers of parents were updated, as many numbers given by the candidates were not working.
• Contact numbers of the Center Coordinator and all trainers were shared with parents.

The trainees, whose parents could not come due to some reasons, were asked to get their parents to the center positively, by tomorrow. Such meetings will be conducted on a regular basis to maintain the overall decorum of the trainees and improve their attendance.
